Engagement

It's more than a marketing buzzword for the scores of assets funded by RAD.  It's a core mindset that is crucial to the primary purpose of these organizations: to create a positive impact on the lives of residents of and visitors to Allegheny County.

In 2011, the regional assets made notable efforts to engage their audiences in many ways, to make the assets and their facilities and programs more convenient and affordable for all.  From pre-performance lectures to post-performance talk-backs; from free admissions to artist residencies; from visits to senior centers to musical side-by-sides; from Flickr to Twitter to Facebook, the assets found many ways to broaden and to diversify their audiences and to give participants the chance to share and to contribute their ideas and opinions.
