Gilded Age museums are a particular type of institution and the Frick is excited to welcome our colleagues, Elee Wood, Director of Education and Public Programs at the Huntington, and Michelle Grohe, Curator of Education at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum to talk about them.
They will be joined by Dawn Reid Brean, Associate Curator at the Frick, to discuss the challenges of exploring the layered stories of our museum objects, our histories, and our reasons for being, including how museums can honor multiple histories, previously untold and unrecognized narratives, and find ways to make the museum relevant to every visitor.
Free; advanced registration required.
