Venture Outdoors has been removing barriers to outdoor access for over 25 years. Adaptive paddling helps folks experience all the joys paddling can bring. Join us at North Park paddle the lake with our adaptive gear. No experience required! This program is FREE for participants and one guest thanks grant funding from WeConservePA and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Pennsylvania Recreational Trails Program funded through the Federal Highway Administration. Our adaptive gear is available on ALL programs and rentals! Trip Leaders Our trained Kayak Pittsburgh Excursionists will introduce our gear offerings and then will help folks get ready to use them on the water. We'll provide all gear and paddling instruction necessary! Activity level Beginner - This is a slow paced, introductory paddle designed for kayakers with little to no experience. North Park Lake is a flatwater lake with no current and motorized watercraft are prohibited. It is a great environment for new paddlers! Distance The distance covered during the open paddle time will be up to the participants on the water. We'll stick together as a group and make sure our pace suits everyone. Ticket availability will close 24 hours before the event start time
