The Senator John Heinz History Center will host its 15th Annual Bocce Tournament & Festival on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Acrisure Stadium’s Gate A – South Plaza.
In a double-elimination tournament, 40 four-person bocce teams will compete for first place while spectators cheer them on and enjoy live music and delicious Italian food.
Admission is FREE for spectators and includes performances by The New Pure Gold, Norside, and The Aces with special guest Shari Richards. Families can enjoy the new Kids Zone play area, complete with bocce and yard games on the turf. Food will be available for purchase from Common Plea Catering.
Proceeds from the Bocce Tournament & Festival benefit the History Center’s Italian American Program, which is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of Italian Americans in Western Pa.
