Join us for a guided experience inside August Wilson: The Writer’s Landscape followed by a conversation with acclaimed actor, playwright, and historian Wali Jamal. Together, we will explore the Pittsburgh people and places that shaped Wilson’s worldview and inspired his ten-play American Century Cycle. Connecting with Envisioning a Just Pittsburgh annual call for art theme, Home, participants are invited to consider the ways August Wilson used his hometown as inspiration and source material.
